Daily grade hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose is a white or slightly yellow powder, and it is odorless, tasteless and non-toxic. It can dissolve in cold water and organic solvents to form a transparent viscous solution. The solution has surface activity, high transparency, strong stability, and dissolution in water is not affected by pH. It has thickening and anti-freezing effects in shampoos and shower gels, and has water retention and good film-forming properties for hair and skin. With the substantial increase in basic raw materials, the use of cellulose (antifreeze thickener) in shampoos and shower gels can greatly reduce costs and achieve desired results.

The viscosity specification of daily chemical grade hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose HPMC is 200,000. It is HPMC for customized transparent detergent. The light transmittance is above 90.
