Main application for HPMC
(1) Construction industry: good thixotropy and ease of combination, making the mortar pumpable. As a binder in plaster, plaster material, putty powder or other building materials, it has thixotropic and slow-setting properties, which can improve the applicability and extend the operability time. As an adhesion enhancer for bonding tiles, marble and plastic decorations, it reduces the amount of cement used. It has water retention, so that the paste does not crack after application because it dries too quickly and enhances the strength after hardening.
(2) Ceramic manufacturing industry: widely used as a binder in the manufacture of ceramic products.
(3) Coating industry: used as a thickener, dispersant and stabilizer in the coating industry, with good compatibility in water or organic solvents. It can be used as a paint stripper.
(4) Ink printing: in the ink industry as a thickener, dispersant and stabilizer, in water or organic solvents have good solubility.
(5) Plastics: Used as molding release agent, softening agent, lubricant, etc.
(6) Polyvinyl chloride: It is used as dispersant in the production of polyvinyl chloride, and is the main auxiliary for the preparation of PVC in suspension polymerization.
