why we should use cellulose ether in construction
HPMC has an extremely wide range of uses in the building materials industry and is used in large quantities. Cellulose can be used as a retarder, water retention agent, thickener and binder. Cellulose ethers play an important role in common dry-mix mortars, high-efficiency external wall insulation mortars, self-levelling mortars, dry plastering adhesives, tile-bonding dry mortars, high-performance construction putties, crack-resistant internal and external wall putties, waterproof dry-mix mortars, plaster plasters, scraping and whitewashing agents, thin joints and other materials. They have an important influence on the water retention, water requirements, solidity, retardation and workability of mortar systems. Commonly used cellulose ethers in the built-up area include HEC, HPMC, CMC, PAC, MHEC etc.
