HEMC Coating

  • Appearance: White or off-white powder, non-toxic and odorless.
  • Solubility: Easily soluble in cold water to form a transparent viscous solution; insoluble in hot water.
  • Thermal Stability: Higher gel temperature than HPMC, with more stable viscosity in high-temperature environments.
  • pH Stability: Stable performance within the pH range of 3.0 to 11.0.
  • Environmental Friendliness: Low VOC, low odor, complying with environmental protection coating standards.

Rheology Modification (Thickening & Anti-sagging)
Provides pseudoplasticity (shear thinning): viscosity decreases during brushing or spraying for easy construction; viscosity recovers at rest to prevent sagging.
Controls coating consistency, enhances leveling and reduces brush marks.
Water Retention & Prolonging Open Time
Water retention rate ≥95%, delaying water evaporation and extending the operable time.
Prevents cracking and peeling caused by rapid drying of coatings.
Stabilization of Pigments and Fillers
Excellent suspension and dispersion properties to prevent pigment sedimentation and delamination.
Avoids floating color and flooding, ensuring uniform color.

Dosage and Application Suggestions
Dosage: 0.2%~0.5% (based on total coating mass)
Viscosity Selection:
Ordinary latex paints: low to medium viscosity (30,000~50,000 mPa·s)
Thick-bodied/texture coatings: medium to high viscosity (80,000~100,000 mPa·s)
Dissolution Method: Premix with powder before adding water, or slowly sprinkle under high-speed stirring to avoid caking.
